January, 2002
Why do people make a solemn promise on New
Year's Day to lose weight, eat healthy, exercise...and then,
on February first, eat all the leftover fruitcake while
watching an all-day "Cheers" marathon?
Extreme promises made in the glow (and hangover) of a New
Year and on the holiday bloated stomach don't work. We're
waiting for Jenny Craig to come out with the New Year's
Resolution Diet.
One way you can prevent yourself from making impossible
promises is to forget about the last holiday. Then, when
Thanksgiving Day and the Christmas parties approach again,
resolve to make small but meaningful changes in the way
that you celebrate.
But in January, there are 300+ eating days until Christmas.
How do you get through the rest of the year?
LivingRight can help. Resolve to buy fewer 'prepared' meals
and grab fewer 'nutrition' bars. Instead, use our dehydrators
to create well-preserved fruit and vegetable snacks that
you can eat year round.
Resolve to drink more power drinks, such as Soy
Power Milk that you can now make more easily using the
Miracle
Soy Wonder Soy Milk Maker, and eat more oatmeal, since
January is Oatmeal Month. You can grind your own oat flour
and make our Oat
Flour Muffins, or use whole oats to make Heaven
Honey-Fruit Oat Granola.
Also, January is National Soup Month and National Hot Tea
Month. What's more soothing in winter than green tea and
chicken noodle or tomato soup?
It's also National Bread Machine Baking Month, and baking
fresh bread is easier than you imagine with our selection
of grain
mills, blenders,
Cuisinart
food processors, and the Miracle
mill .
Resolve to succeed and eat your way, deliciously and healthfully,
to success!
